You think of movies as liberal vs. republican?

How sad ... I pity you.

I'm centrist (against abortion, high taxes, etc., but totally opposed to spending more on military than social programs. PERSONALLY but will NOT impose my will on others if the majority disagrees). And I've never thought of movies as being "liberal" or "conservative."

So, my favorite movies of all time are, in no particular order or anything:

- Die Hard series (except the last one)
- Terminator
- Bicentennial Man
- I, Robot
- GATTACA
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
- Mission Impossible 1 and the last one
- The Great Escape
- Pi
- Hunt for the Red October
- 3:10 to Yuma
- Star Trek movies and series
- Source Code
- Religulous

Field of Dreams has to be in at least the top ten liberal movies.

Costner's wife in this movie is such a humorless witch.

The Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings trilogies.

Though I find it funny how movies that the Rightwingers here say liberals like are rarely the movies liberals here actually like.

Oh smack, that's funny!!!

I think they'd prefer to be the offspring of Ghandi and Kate Richards O'Hare. This way, they could claim to be a minority, compassionate by bloodline, pure social activists with a heritage of persecution, and just a dollop of religion, but not enough to seem pretentious, even though it is. They'd be the perfect progressive liberal.

It would be a toss up between Lion King and Rocky Horror Picture Show....Teddy bears and silver balloon view of the meaning of life---combined with the propagation of twisted sexuality- That's all a Liberal needs...A couple of movies that justify their fanciful and foolish mentality.
