Not only don't they get affirmative action (like Whites), they are often penalized for school admissions, as in minutes XX points on their SAT or GPA if they're Asian, yet they are still a minority and being discriminated, and had been for a long time, including the railroad builders.
Why are they being penalized and punished individually? Just for the fact that they collectively and on average work hard and on average do well due to hard work?

Because there are more Hispanic voters than there are Asian voters.
Because Asians aren't underrepresented in universities and organizations.

Actually, Asians make up close to 50% of the student body on many many many American colleges, both American born and foreign born Asians. Asians do benefit from Affirmative Action policies.

Are you writing "Asians make up close to 50% of the student body on many many many American colleges BECAUSE Asians do benefit from Affirmative Action policies."?
This goes back to my original question. Is it right to punish individual Asians due to the collective hard work of all Asians?
Think about it. What messages (plural) is Affirmative Action sending?
No one is being punished. First I need to see proof the AA is including Hispanics as well because I have never seen one Hispanic speak on the issue. It is almost always blacks in magazines, etc.
Even if Hispanics get AA a large amount of them can't even afford to go to the colleges that accepted them and end up at CC's and state universities.

Maybe on the West Coast, but they are a small minority on MOST US campuses.
