Yes it can just look at Syria. A who lot of folks are armed there and it doesn't do them much good when the army rolls up and starts shelling their cities.

Furthermore arms ownership has very little to do with anything in terms of freedom and stability in a country. This is evidenced by the US having the highest per-capita gun ownership rate in the world and Yemen, a country which is the polar opposite of the US in terms of everything but gun ownership is #2.

I think gun ownership for sporting, or hunting, or home defense etc. is great. Just don't delude yourself into thinking gun ownership somehow assures your freedom or prevents a military backed government from doing anything it wants.

NATO and Hillary's "rebel" force will take care of the Syrian folks and kill Assad. Don't worry about that.

United Nations Official Document)
Why don't you read it?

Because then you will conclude that first of all, NO treaty exists. There is a proposal for a treaty.

And there is nothing SCARY about involved reports.

INFORMATION is not SCARY.

Don't forget the Copenhagen Treaty originated in the UN. See how close that one got to getting a US signature over the objection of Congress ? You better thank China for squashing that one.
