When watching CNN yesterday, I was commenting to my friend that "next thing you know they'll be frisking movie patrons, metal detector machines, etc". Of course, they were questioning just that on another segment. Imagine machines being installed at the theaters in the name of protection and freedom from the terrorists? Could it happen? Perhaps only at the midnight showings that have gained so much favor among the young crowd?

I certainly hope not..tickets are way too expensive now, and I would be forced to buy my food there, rather than sneak mine in...and the biggest reason..it wouldn't do any good and give wanna be pedos a job.
If movie theatres want to employ their own security measures it is none of my business and if I find it too intrusive, I'll wait for the movie to come out on video.
No way taxpayers should be on the hook for the security of a business they don't patronize.
It wouldn't stop what happened in Aurora. The guy bought a ticket, came into the theater without guns, and then propped open the emergency exit in the theater so he could go to the car he had parked in the alley to put his gear on and get his weapons. He'd evidently cased everything out in advance.
can you imagine the conservative/libertarian bloggers and their "outrage"?
