#!, I thought the tea party was focused on taxes, what do guns have to do with taxes
#2, this guy is freakin nuts

Let's allow paranoid schizophrenics to purchase assault rifles, yeah, cuz then we can engage in a shoot out with them. Morans (sic)

I can't believe you read crap like that. Think Progress. The Senator is a nut job, but there are a lot of better blogs on the internet than that one. Those people spend to much time finding faults of others and not enough time coming up with solutions. We already know most politician's are liars and thief's, tell us how you would fix the problem.

The word is thieves, and I would make an effort to keep guns from demented individuals. I surely wouldn't make it easier for them.

Demented people should not have the right to bear arms. Growlll

There really should be mental health reviews prior to someone being granted a license to own a firearm and, no, just having a check box in a self fill out form doesn't cut the mustard in this case.

here you have it. Those on the left profiling gun owners. Dont make someone have an ID before they Vote. Don't ask for green cards when your a mile from the border and cant speak a word of english. Rights only matter when they are the rights the left agrees with.
Me? I have no issue with a waiting period or background check. I have no issue with requiring a permit to con. carry. I have no issue with a cop asking to see my ID and permit. I dont even have an issue if a store says no guns allowed.
I do have an issue with people who want to restrict my freedoms even though I have done no wrong.
How many stabbings happen each year? What no bans on knives?
How man deaths by DUI? What no bans on booze or cars?
I dont want whacko's to carry either. But its the left that will sue a gun shop for profiling. A muslim walks in acting to the shop owners eye upset. He declines the sale and the ACLU is up his arse that fast.
Look what happened when that airline kicked those muslims off for basically hitting every item on the terrorist watch out list. ACLU got involved.

I want these killers punished. I want anyone who uses a gun in a crime punished swiftly and harshly.

Who pays for these mental evaluations? Ever look at shrinks? Even they dont agree with each other. So who makes the call?

How would making guns illegal accomplish anything? That would simply move the sale to the black market, the same people who bring in tons of meth and pot will simply add guns and bullets to their shipments. Then a gun would be as easy to get as a bag of pot - you could expect them sold in middle school classrooms -- just like pot and meth are. And no silly forms to fill out, no identification needed.

Prohibition doesn't work. Can't you libs figure that out?

How about before getting a driver's license? A deranged person could easily kill people with his car.
Would you then hear cries of "profiling", that you are now persecuting the mentally ill?
What would the definition be? This latest shooter was functional up to a few months ago.

Liberals are so quick to use any psycho nut job's actions to screw everyone else. You have to give crazy people the same freedoms the sane ones have, otherwise there is no freedom. If you deny freedom to sane people, because of the few nutjobs, you deserve no safety or freedom for yourself. The best defense against insane people, and thugs with guns, is a well armed citizenry.

Argue all you like, but these are the facts.

How is gun control doing for the people in Detroit, Chicago and DC? How many real world examples does the left need before they realize they've been wrong?

Care to read that back to yourself slowly?

Do we really have the resources to do a mental health review of 60M gun owners? Crimes are stopped 1000 fold, over crimes committed by gun owners. The s%$t people blurb in these forums simply amazes me.

Really? then why don't the idiot liberals do something about black, latino and asian gangs.

That ought to clear up about half of the gun related murders every year.

Dumbass *******s.
