Wow...she is right of course, she pays the electric bill, the home is clearly posted no trespassing and no smart meters yet they tried to so anyways. If they pursue a lawsuit or whatever against her I would press charges for battery and trespassing.
Brandishing one's firearm in a situtation where there is not an imminent lethal threat is unlawful. She would have been better off to call the police and report the shoving as an assault. Trespassing? Most utility companies have easements which allow access from the pole to the mast and meter. If she doesn't want a smart meter there is nothing to stop her from producing her own off-grid energy.

Yes, I posted a topic here earlier, but the mods saw fit to move it to true crime.

Honest and truly, a whole lot, if not the majority, of gun owners don't seem to know when it is legal to brandish a fire arm or use it in self defense and when it is not legal to do so. I honestly think it would be a good idea to include mandatory classes about such things and include a written test as part of the licensing requirements and if you don't pass the multiple choice test about what is or is not legal and when then you shouldn't get a license until you can pass the test.
You have to pass a written test to drive a car but not to own or use a deadly weapon? That just seems backwards to me. Oh, and, no, the weak "fire arms safety course" doesn't cover those sorts of things.

I do hope she was arrested and hauled off to jail..
Smart meters are great, BTW
