What if you got a gay guy and a gay woman left? Will they be smart enought to take one for the team? Does it really matter if everybody is dead but two people anyway? What if tigers are the only other things left. I think the tigers won't care about the human race and have one last dinner.

Well if I can remember 4th grade biology, if the only two humans left on the planet are two men or two women then questions 1 and 2 are moot points to begin with.

None of them. You need more than 2 of a species to rebuild from or the genetic intermingling is likely to cause sterility and fatal defects ending in the species extinction. 15-20 is the current thinking.
