UN leaders, who voted for it and represent those respective countries...

You need to read where are people are. I have many friends in Indonesia, Africa, Asia, Middle East taking care of bad people, and helping the undeserving of terrible dictators. So, dont go there. We even are after that Kobe? guy who is a horrid dictator.. You just dont see it on CNN/NBS/ABC/CBS. My Brothers/Sisters are in harms way because people ask for us to help out. Look at some of the crap holes are people are..
So, dont for once second think we arent helping poor Africans, and dont think there arent other countries out there being helped with our own people...
There are many dictators that people think need to go away, that doesn't mean that the US pretty much unilaterally needs to be the policeman, easy for you to say, not so for the families of the 3000 dead and many more injured.

It's always much easier to have high reaching principles from a keyboard in deciding the fate of US soldiers.

This is the mentality of the people who support the decision to invade Iraq. These are the people who screamed that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11. These are the people who watch FOX News and think Bush and Cheney were great leaders.

Even if the war had been a good idea (which I don't think it was), it certainly wasn't a good idea to finance the war by piling up debt. And after all that money and effort, Iraq is still enormously violent - over 115 people died in a single series of suicide bombings a couple weeks ago, and there are smaller attacks every single day. The Iraqi government as well as the militant groups fighting the government have both been credibly accused of many of the same human rights violations as Saddam, including torture, summary executions, and the ethnic cleansing of certain areas.

So, really, I'd have to say that the war didn't turn out so well. Not for us; not for our budget; not for Iraq itself...

The evil bum banging Saudi princes murdered 3000 people on American soil- and no one did a damned thing about it- other than run around screaming the terrorists are coming- and off they ran to Iraq and Afghanistan to kill goat herding Taliban who did not even know were New York was on the map.....You can't explain this stuff to patriotic soldiers who will never admit that they are duped and lied to...what man wants to understand that their whole existence and career is one huge fraud....The only people who benefited from this invasion were weapons manufacturers and dealers- and a few oil guys- and then later some biker types called "contractors" This was the biggest con job in history....and I would be embarrassed as hell...to be supportive of anyone that lied to me.

Oh what terrible webs of deceit those in power weave.

Kuwait "our allie" was slant drilling into Iraqi territory for OIL and Saddam naturally had an issue with that.
Suffice to say, Saddam was talking to the then Ambassador to Iraq, April Glaspie, if the US had any qualms with him handling the situation as he saw fit.

April told Saddam basically that it was none of their business to get involved in their affairs, which basically gave Saddam the green light to do as he wished.

We know how that turned out. The usual human rights abuses and Saddam being a dictator were thrown in as a "selling" point to the public, while "our government" continues to support dictators throughout the world, cough Saudi Arabia cough when it is in the US ruling elites interests, and certainly not the best interests of all American's

No one in their right mind would put infantry in such danger unless they were sure they would not be attacked...Saddam must have been shocked to find out that the tacit agreement with the Americans suddenly became null and void. That he had been double crossed.

Now we see a trail of former CIA stole pigeons dead...Khadafi...Saddam...and now on their list is the President of Syria....
