Filthy greedy 1%er.
Why would he want to pay taxes to two countries?

Very unlikely that he would. The US and France have a dual taxation treaty.

I thought you were from Central Europe? I must remember incorrectly, then.

So how would you propose an individual spend their money to have a highway system, an air traffic control system, standards for the licensing of doctors and other professionals, testing that gives you a fairly decent chance the drugs prescribed for you won't kill you, police & fire services, etc. or do you believe we need none of those things?

Would you prefer a return to a life where raw sewage runs in the gutters, many more diseases without cure, travel by hacking your way through the forest, etc.?

Let's see how many people will like it when they have to pay the same .....

If I was wealthy and had to pay that, I would move, fire all my employees and stop spending a dime in a. Country like that...

Lets see how the government and the all employees will like that!

People who are wealthy, spend more money and make sure more people have jobs but dumb socialists never opened their ears and eyes to understand the concept and are just jealous and morons and part of the entitlement state...good luck!
I was a huge Reagan supporter. When Reagan took office, the top tax bracket was around 70%--it HAD to be changed because it was unfair. The Ryan plan moves the top tax bracket down to almost nothing--estimates are that Romney would have paid about .82 under it. That's not fair either.

Well, he said he would have to pay taxes to both places.

That's not even remotely true. The top tax bracket in 1979 was about 38%.

BTW the effective tax rate for the top 1% in 1979 was about 22% after deductions, exemptions, and what not.

Well, it is complicated stuff ........

(b) In the case of an individual who is both a resident of France and a citizen of the United States:
(i) the United States shall allow as a credit against the United States income tax the French income tax paid after the credit referred to in subparagraph (a)(iii) of paragraph 2. However, the credit so allowed against United States income tax shall not reduce that portion of the United States income tax that is creditable against French income tax in accordance with subparagraph (a)(iii) of paragraph 2;

But, generally speaking, these treaties make sure that you don't pay tax twice. There can be cases where you have to pay some US tax or some French tax but, usually, the amount you double pay is minimal.

I am just telling you what he said, so maybe he had some more information since he actually lived there. Maybe he was referring to property tax, or some other taxes, but he said he was a US resident again to avoid paying taxes in both countries.
