I can't believe that conservatives are actually happy with the lack of respect that was shown to our country's Vice President. What happened to showing respect for the office even if you disagree with the policies?
Maybe they feel they were showing the same level of respect he offered to them.
The President insulted this man and his wife, as well as thousands of other small business owners (me, included) with his collectivist remarks about no one building a business by themselves.
I am sure this is a true statement for all those folks who have gotten gubment loans for their start ups, something very common in the minority community, b/c they can qualify for those loans. Not a minority? Sorry, out of luck. You will just have to figure out how to do it on your own.
So the President was pandering to his audience . . . and the rest of us were highly insulted, as we didn't get a hand out or a hand up to start our businesses. We did it by scrimping and saving and working 12 plus hours a day.
I understand how this bakery owner feels. He was insulted and he is no hypocrite. So he said . . . "thanks but no thanks."
