‎"A new vision of an America in which prosperity is shared." Doesn't our President know that that system been tried and proven to fail time and time again? -

He fails to grasp that this does not work.......

This would be bad if it was really what he thought. It's not. It's just campaign rhetoric. He argues for little things like "millionaire's paying just a little more" which is a worthless slogan.

No, he will push the Fed to continue feeding the pig.

I shudder when I hear the word "share" coming from any government official's mouth.

I think of "the collective" and "the Borg".

"From each according to his ability; to each according to his needs."

Where have I heard that before?

On one side we have a party where the value of the bottom 90% of the population is zero.... perhaps even negative.

On the other side we have the party of noone is allowed to fail no matter how worthless they are.

These are the two sides calling the shots. America may well be on its way out.

the problem with progressives like obama is that even though they know that what they have tried in the past has failed miserably, they continue to try because they think that they have the answers to make the system they want work. it is part of their arrogance and disdain for the average person. it also proves the old saw that liberalism is a mental disorder, in that they keep trying the same things and expecting a different result.

Paul Ryan got it right yesterday: "We promise equality of opportunity, NOT equality of outcomes."

The only way government can force outcomes to be equal, is by holding down everybody to the lowest achiever's level.

Quote:
Do we go forward towards a new vision of an America in which prosperity is shared?" Obama asked.
Translated into "Do we take even more of Oldhag's hard earned money and give it to people who think they are owed something by the rest of us and continue making bad selfish choice after bad selfish choice?" No thanks.
