Do I need to remind you what party controlled congress when the two wars were started and when the Medicare Prescription budget busting bill was signed into law? Here's a hint, it wasn't the Democrats.

Oh no it is an objective fact. There are survey after survey of where they ask conservatives do you want to cut Social Security, or medicare, or medicaid or unemployment benefits, or military vet benefits, or military spending and the answer is overwhelmingly no.

Those programs make up the vast bulk of government spending. So no conservatives don't want to cut government spending.

Now what programs do conservatives want to cut, any program that they believe is going to the wrong kinds of undeserving Americans, who conservatives believe are destroying the nation by wanting handouts.

This is the ugly truth about conservative voters. They are hypocrites who support HUGE government spending, but want to deny it only to certain groups of Americans they don't like because they believe they are destroying this nation by wanting handouts.

Obama was voting present during most of that period and hadn't managed to head us toward the kind of socialistic society.

tea party (tea is Taxed Enough Already) has been around since the 1980's....it has nothing to do with obama..has much to do with the costliness of government and the over spending

I remember the tea party protests back in 94

Ron Paul was backed by the Tea Party starting in 2006.

as to bush/cheney years:
You can keep on waiting because your question is not a viable one
What part of Taxed Enough Already, don't you understand?

Hint, Bush LOWERED taxes for ALL taxpayers.

Why in the world would a group protest something that they agree on?

Only in the lefty, loony world.

Look at the ages of the Tea Party's "Young Guns." Most weren't old enough to be Congressmen during the Bush years, nor was there the threat of a black man as President or wholesale economic collapse during (most) of those years to fire up the base of the party.

47% not paying taxes is a justifiable concern. I agree cutting the defence budget is a must do, however we need to stop using our military as a world cop first. That would mean stop missile strikes in places like Libya and pakistan. Those Tomahawk missiles are not cheap.

"Do I need to remind you what party controlled congress when the two wars were started" Please do.

Please show us how smart you and tell us who the Senate Majority Leader was.

On second thought I doubt you can find out.

It was Tom Daschle, DEMOCRAT. Who also co -sponsored the bill giving Bush authority.

And EVEN with the prescription drug bill AND the 2 wars, he deficit was DECLINING.

Post fail

Show us the surveys and the how they polled.

"They are hypocrites who support HUGE government spending'. as a conservative, and many of my conservative friends agree, as i said before, you don't know what you are talking about.
