It will only "drive them out of the country" on paper for tax purposes. They'll still live here and play here. The only way to tax the rich is to tax their spending, not their income.

It may drive some of them out of the country, although Obama & Co. have made it much more of a hassle by imposing limits on the amnount of $$$ you can wire out of the country as well as staggering increases in reporting rerquirements.

Or else you can just stay here and buy more real estate or any other asset in various parts of the country, and being very selective about it.
