The USA is obligated to continue the financial aid to Egypt according to the Egypt-Israel peace treaty (that was signed when Jimmy Carter was the US president).
Aid will keep flowing. It's really just blackmail to keep the Suez Canal open.
And that is what the US got out of the Israel-Egypt Treaty. And as long as that stays open the money will keep on flowing no matter the BS rhetoric on either side of the aisle in the US.
