The Koran does say that lying to further the cause is alright, so maybe he could be a Muslim appearing to be a Christian. You can't really trust people who are willing to lie for that kind of cause.

So? The great philosopher of the Neo-Con movement, Leo Strauss, said lying to defend and obscure the underlying ideology is alright in politics too.
