Eastwood is a liberal. Why is it shocking that a liberal would think this?

"Because what I really believe is, let's spend a little more time leaving everybody alone." That makes sense. However, leaving everyone alone is allowing people to do what they want, as long as it does not affect anyone else. I am fully supportive of that. However, changing the laws for everyone is a little different than "leaving everybody alone". It is imposing one's values on another through law against one's will- that is tyranny.
