No, he wasn't the first President to start with a recession.

BUT...he WAS the first President handed a recession and TWO wars to deal with on day one by his predecessor. No other President in our history began his administration with such a gawd-awful, screwed up mess.

To begin with, it should be fairly obvious to anyone capable of reading a calendar that the Obama did not "start" the recession which began even before the 2008 elections. Second there is absolutely no empirical evidence that his policies have made conditions worst, which on the face of it is ridiculous. With regards to the charge that he didn't do what was necessary to bring about a pace of recovery as needed, I will would be the first to agree although I doubt that we would agree on the reasoning behind that argument.

I got the cutest e-mail this week. It was a picture of George Bush saying, "If Obama wins this election, think what a mess he will have to deal with."

I am more concerned with what he will do when he is not held back with the hope of winning another election. My guess is that he will go hog wild and have this a communist country in less than one year.

I know some of you are laughing, but you won't be if that happens; anyway I hope you won't be.

And he handled it poorly. Spending most of his time spending money we don't have, blaming others. He has failed to restore confidence, which would do wonders in restoring all that still struggles. There is no confidence in what the future plans are, what Obamacare will do, what new regulations will add to cost and time.

He is not the man for the job. Its that simple. He is one of the most divisive Presidents we've ever had and he's often not honest or straight forward with what he says. Even Putin says as much when he says at least Romney is straight foward, open and sincere. No one can say the same about Barack.

Exactly. People, the world and society are progressive. They evolve right along with ideas, philosophies and values. And so were past administrations different in that regard, from those of recent times. So what is the real motive here? Just another attempt to reslove that Obama is the Devil? And if he is and the OP cant come up with some superhero ro replace him, then how is this post relevant?

Mitt Romney represents the very ideologies and policies which gave Obama such a terrible start. In fact, some of the architects of the disaster which was the Bush administration are his advisors, policy wonks and campaign leaders.

No, Obama hasn't done as well as he perhaps could have (though a fair portion of the blame for that rests with the GOP in Congress), but will turning the government back over to the very people who created this mess in the first place be the wise thing to do? What makes you think they'll do anything differently?

Romney isn't Bush. Not my favorite candidate but he's bright enough and exoerienced enough to figure out how to get things moving again. He has business skills and like it or not, getting confidence back in businesses will do a lot to really turn things around.
Barack keeps Bernake in place and Geithner, who are both bad at what they do, which should be obvious to most. The direction we are heading is not a good one. This is Baracks direction he steered us in, and it is not sustainable and no one knows what's even around the corner.
One can believe Romney is just a horrible man, who will come in and screw the majority of the people over, or you can realize he knows enough to realize that that approach will not work, and see him as a man with past success and leadership and experience, deserving a chance to put his skills to use helping us recover quicker.
Barack may be cool and smooth but he is not a straight talker and can't make the tough decisions. We are essentially not much better off than 4 years ago if you really look at everything and our future has never been more uncertain.

You might want to see who's running his campaign, who's advising him and who's putting up the money before you say that.
