He was clearly referring to the infrastructure that allows a business to succeed.
His statement demonstrates that he is out of touch - and doesn't understand, appreciate, or even bother to acknowledge the hard work and sacrifice that goes into running a successful business.

Why not just admit that he was wrong - and work to change the Democratic Party's disdainful attitude towards business owners.

That's part of it. But what Republicans don't understand is that a business owner does NOT do it themselves...that's impossible. They need things like , oh, CUSTOMERS, accountants, employees, roads, shipping, buildings, and yes, REGULATIONS (or the playing field for them wouldn't be fair)and OH YA , LOANS!!!! NObody builds a business alone but I sure wish these ignorant Republicans would try starting a business all alone....hilarious outcomes!! Of course they'd blame Obama for their stupidty and failure
