When you look at the older America, back in the 20 to the 50's you'll see what she's trying to say, she acknowledged blacks went through hell and we did and America does in a sense "owe" a something for it.

But what's the history of gays in America? What oppression did they endure? Women, I understand what they went through under the laws of the white man, they became equal but for years weren't equal to men.

Gays, hispanics and others, no offense but you really have no firm history and haven't really been oppressed by America to continue to come here and "demand" things from this country...

It's really brainwashing, she's 100% correct on this issue.

What did "your people" go through?
Exactly. Those are the only two racial groups that suffered institutionalized racism and faced slavery or reservations.

You cannot tell by looking at someone if he or she is gay but obviously most descendents of slaves have racial characteristics and that was used to discriminate against them. Bill Clinton solved the gay issue with "don't ask don't tell", but you can't solve race discrimination that way.

Someone fresh over the border never suffered a day in this country and the fact that they aren't immediately given the CEO of a bank job is irrelevant, that has nothing to do with their ancestors being brought in as slaves.

As for women, it's a whole different issue. Gender equality is not the same thing as race equality when men of different races can both do heavy lifting but not many women can lift 200 pounds but want jobs that involve heavy lifting and expect different standards of treatment. Black civil rights wasn't about blacks getting 3 months paid maternity leave and extra time off that whites weren't being given so you really cannot compare women's rights and black civil rights.

The Black Civil rights movement was about the racism that led to one group being enslaved here and it's aftermath, Jim Crow laws -- no other group was ever enslaved in the USA. No other group had Jim Crow laws applied to them.

Like Bill O'reilly or John Stewart of Fatty McLimbaugh or whoever you like, this tart is for entertainment and shock value first and foremost. Her audacity takes precedent over her accuracy. Audacity equals book sails and good ratings for Faux News.

You can't lie, she holds her own and she's pretty smart, even though very offensive.

If the republicans were PC, they'd be a serious problem.

Certainly not lying, more so observing. I've leafed through one or two of her huge-print tirades (gee, I wonder who their marketed for?), and while she knows how to write an essay, everything else I couldn't disagree with more. Compare her to say, Christopher Hitchens, and it becomes pretty pedantic really fast. She's a good debater, but either she gets off on perpetually playing devil's advocate, or she really is that messed up in the head. A real bag of venom, that one.

Maybe its because when you add the gays and latinos to the mix, there might be less "freebies" for the blacks, huh?
Not sure what freebies gays get, more to the contrary.

But that's why there's chocolate and vanilla I suppose.

She doesn't take herself seriously. She's an entertainer. She's not a strategist, she's not a policy consultant, she's not an analyst. She's just a talking head commentator. If you're left wing you'll despise and if you're right wing you'll find her entertaining. She gets invited to make speeches and appear on TV because she's outrageous and provocative, not because anybody thinks she's particularly insightful. I've seen her many times and read a couple of her books, but I don't go to her for anything but laughs.

What did "your people" go through?
You aren't owed anything. Doesn't matter what your people went through compared to what some other person's people went through. It's not a "who's the bigger victim" game. You are entitled to and got equal protection under the law. That's all you're owed.

If someone is disadvantaged they deserve some help based on their individual circumstances. Nobody is owed anything based on the color of their skin in 2013.

Ann Coulter: Civil Rights Are Only 'For Blacks'
There's only one thing I agree with her about out of that entire segment and thats not being able to have open-borders and giving out welfare at the same time those who have migrated. That's not very fair in my opinion, that's like if one of you all were in Disney World and you paid to visit, but on the other hand Disney World is giving out free tickets year round well, plus giving out free food coupons. Where's the incentive for you to pay next time you visit? You'll just say 'forget it' and get a free ticket as well.
