Interesting idea, especially since it's also a training ground for early childhood educators who will be testing out their ideas and theories on these kids. My guess is it will give some positive results since many kids in the target area arrive at K already beat down from having no help in the early years. We shall see.

I also see ways to abuse this system by having as many welfare babies as possible, collecting the money, then shipping them off all day. There will need to be some pretty strict guidelines to prevent this from happening and creating MORE problems instead of solving the ones they already have.

Default Mayor Bloomberg To Start School For Six Week -Five Year Olds

City launching early-bird childhood education for babies as young as 6 weeks old - NYPOST.com

Quote:
Infants will be admitted into the city’s first full-day, really early education program being launched next year in Brooklyn, officials announced yesterday.
But the goal of the Brownsville program — which will provide eight to 10 hours a day of educational, social and health services for kids between 6 weeks and 5 years old — isn’t to turn babies into young Einsteins.
“You’re not going to teach them calculus at that age,” said Mayor Bloomberg. “The first thing is to teach them to deal with other kids and how you cooperatively work together.”
The sooner you can grab their minds, the more compliant they will be as taxpayers later.

Mayor Castro in San Antonio is just as much an idiot. Trying to raise the sales tax to launch a Pre-K program for about 22,000 snot nosed 4 year olds. Yet, the San Antonio Independent School District has a 42% high school drop out rate........one of the highest in the country

How about trying to fix that first Mayor?

Yet this is what we have to look forward to from our "future" major politicians

Testing out their ideas and theories on these kids? Wow and you are all for that. Hitler didn't even have it this easy.

The public school system is a failure,so government logic is to expand such things.

Oh please, we test out new ideas all the time. In homes, schools, workplaces, etc. If you ever read an article on how to do something, then did it, you were testing out a new idea. Are you Hitler now?

Baby sitting for baby mamas. Better teach some of the spawn to be cops because making way for more baby mamas means no need for Daddy and more gang membership, not that its linked or anything.
