The only way they'll stop is when the medium of exchange (the dollar) is worthless.

Buying gold and silver seems the only answer. Hideable, portable, exchangable in any corner of the world.

Im not a gold bug, i dont think its a particularly good investment, no yield and so on. But I'll be damned if im holding Fiat.

The Devil is in the details.

[and that's scary so people would rather be vague if they can't otherwise ignore it]

What people (and politicians) mean when they say cut spending is cut spending that doesn't affect them.

How about....

everything but defense.....bring the troops home....intrastate highways.....border defense.....ok, that's all I can think of. We do have some obligation with social security and medicare to the extent that people have paid into it. Return that with interest.

Yea something like when democrats said tax the rich but they didn't mean tax them. A bunch of Obama supporters made moves to avoid higher taxes in 2013. And the everyday people, yea tax the rich but don't tax me. Hows the jump in payroll tax and smaller paycheck feelin to you lol.
