In 2012, Wall Street analysts calculated that Apple could earn up to $45.6 billion in its current fiscal year 2012, a record for any American business. By national and international diversions of revenues and many other legal methods, Apple stands to save billions of dollars in taxes.
The company had $117.2 billion in assets under management at the end of June, easily besting Bridgewater -- generally recognized as the top hedge in the world with approximately $100 billion in assets under management.
Why do people support politicians who drive these mountains of money OUT of their areas INTO areas with low taxes?
I'd give the least amount of tax revenue to California, too, if I was Apple. Why in the world should Apple be beholden to socialistic policies that benefit society's least common denominator? Why should California's millions of losers benefit from Apple's hard-earned ingenuity??
California attracts the most educated and talented people that is why companies like Apple and Google choose to stay there. It's worth paying higher taxes. People don't understand that much of the tax dollars goes into all the parks, transportation and just overall makes the quality of life better.

Its called inertia.
Silicon Valley began during an era of relatively low taxation and although now things are out of control it takes time to move a whole industry.
Santa Clara County is still where the action is, business-wise, but the MONEY is going to Nevada, Ireland and other low tax places.
Also, guess which "Golden State" films are NOT made in anymore.
So on the one hand you blame California for having too much government and driving business away, and on the other you blame California for not giving special 'incentives' (i.e. subsidies) to the film industry. OK then.
