"Self Insured" should not mean others pick up the tab 100%. Just like a down payment in a home, the states should have a cost involved.

I do take personal responsibility and carry Homeowners Insurance. Do you ?

You should also read. This is not a discussion on Federal Highways but city infrastructure.
Hi, I'm going to repeat myself again to say

THEY ARE NOT REQUESTING ASSISTANCE TO HOMES WITHOUT INSURANCE.

If you'd like to know the actual truth of the matter, read my post above. They are only requesting 90% and 100% under emergency cleanup.

Don't stop believing that money will be there for you, because when enough people finally realize the reality that it wont, the house of cards comes tumbling down.

Then you should be able to provide a link.

I am referencing Cuomos exact request and the exact Sections he requested it under.

Just because whatever program you watched was "discussing" Section 408 does not mean Cuomo requested assistance under it.

I'll track it down. New York isn't the only state impacted...

I'm not heartless. We can help each other out. But everyone has responsibility to themselves also.

This thread is specifically related to NY and what Cuomo requested and the misinformation being thrown around is staggering.

I blame the media - people can only discuss what they report.

And it really goes back to what is NYC's "Fair Share". Would that be 25%, 10% or 0% ?

We're not talking the 9th ward of NO, NYC is a very wealthy city. There is no reason they should not cover the 25% mark.
