I think perhaps that is the best video link, I have ever seen posted in this forum.
And like he said "our federal government has been high-jacked by corporate America." And our politicians can't even talk about it (because if they do they will lose their campaign money.)
One thing I would like to say is this. I hear people say (mainly conservatives) that our national debt is $70 trillion dollars. I don't deny that a (dangerous) $70 trillion dollars is somewhere.
But our national debt is around $17 trillion dollars.

I literally yelled "Yeah" once this video was done, thank you! This guy is a genius, I love it, its the truth! We all need to sacrifice things to address this problem, rather than trying to appease to your base constantly. The way I see it, we address this problem now and people can still get the things they need, or we can deal with this later once the debt bomb has exploded and no one gets the services they need; which option is better...

You're welcome, and Agreed.
The problem is real and you can't get any more honest than this. Very unbiased too.
I but we won't see much more of this video after this. I haven't checked if it's on YT yet, but this needs to go viral honestly.

Nothing there that Senator Bernie Sanders did not expose during his eight hour "bonafide" filibuster in 2010. If your hear what Dylan Ratigan said as a follow up to his rant, you'd probably call him a Communist or Socialist.

I didn't read anything that would make me call him a Communist or Socialist.

We had a shared goal, and we had a problem-solving process with integrity and aligned interests. Kennedy was the leader of this initiative, but Americans at that time, possibly because of a shared experience in World War II, had a shared purpose. They believed in prosperity as a goal, and they had a shared set of problem solving values to get there. They believed in education, in health and welfare, in mutual security, in dignified work and in Americans making things. The moon shot didn’t just avoid war with the Soviets, it created the largest surge of American students into math and science in history.
The right wing demonizes teachers, defunds education, embraces the Ayn Rand "I got mine the hell with you" ideals. No hand up if someone falls on hard times. Fighting to prevent affordable healthcare for all. Science is scorned.

Whether it’s full employment, clean energy, building a bridge, whatever — there’s no mutual consent to a set of shared goals, integrity on how to achieve them, or aligned interests. Even where there are policy discussions on, say, how to cut our debt load, it is the opinions of discredited ratings agencies that seem to matter. So our choices are organized around austerity measures that we know will not cut debt loads. Again, it’s using astrology to get to the moon.
No minimum wage, screw the EPA, "you didn't build that" blown out of proportion because none will admit that they did not build stuff by themselves and utilized infrastructure paid for by taxpayer dollars to the government.
What Dylan Ratigan advocates for has zero in common with current right wing ideology. That's apparent.
Well the video/thread was based on what he said about the debt and congress, so I skipped over this.

Wrong.
Our HC system is anything but "Affordable".
The demonize the Teacher UNIONS and the BS that is being forced on students. Like being suspended for a damn Pop-tart gun.
Their do support welfare for people that has fallen on hard times. They don't support the abuse of the system and the people that ride the welfare train and want to be supported by others.
The welfare, education and HC systems were VERY different in the Kennedy days. By today's standard that would be seen as "conservative". That's what the right wants to go back to.

No one claimed he had right wing ideologies. I just thought it was a great UNBIASED point regarding the Debt and Congress.
We don't need the EPA. Congress can do that.
