*FROM NBCNEWS.COM*

Two Senate candidates lost their bids for office following their offensive & ignorant remarks during the campaign.

Todd Akin/Missouri, "legitimate rape..."

and

Richard Mourdock/Indiana, "when life begins after rape...something God intended to happen"

Congratulations to all you Missouri and Indiana voters. Good job.

If you come off like you think every sperm is a gift from god, then you are not going connect well with voters.

Then again, what the hell can a US senator do about local state laws regarding rape?

There are a lot of ignorant, stupid people out there, they keep voting for politicians who give the government more power over our lives, and then they fear politicians might use their public office to exert power over their lives. If you want government to stay out of your bedrooms and out your uterus, then stop voting to give government the power to regulate those things in your life.

What??? Your reply has nothing to do with thread topic. This is not a discusssion of laws regarding rape or how people vote...

It is to point out the extreme insensitivity, ignorance, and arrogance of some conservative men... 2 of whom were kept out of office following their insulting and offensive remarks.

You don't seem to get it either, dude...
