Unless they move far to the left they are done. The young people don't want to hear their wacky views on gay marriage or abortion or evolution.

They have become the party of rhetoric and ideology not grounded in reality at all. They are the crazy uncle who spews his crazy views that no one wants to hear but you have to put up with him because he's family.

If not for the sham of 2000 GW Bush Sr would have been their last president. It was a perfect storm, Florida cannot run an election to save their life and GW's brother was their corrupt governor. That is why the disaster of GW Bush happened.

The only hope for the GOP is go embrace the working class again. Just run on a business platform with conservative family values but WITHOUT trying to restrict the families of other people who don't believe alike.

Be pro-business but in a pro-worker way. If the worker wins, business usually always wins.

Drop the union-hate. There is such a small percentage of the work force that is union anymore it's a complete waste of time for them and deflects them from their message.

If Mitt Romney would have come out and said "Listen, abortion is here to stay no matter how I feel about it. Gay people are citizens of the US and have a right to equal advantage under the law. I will save SS and Medicare and make it solid for the next 100 years. I will come up with a better health plan than Obama and reduce the deficit at the same time.

If he would have just stuck to that platform and dropped the wacky's from his campaign he might have won.

I agreed that we need two major political parties but who says it has to be Democrats & Republicans? I made a suggestion (or more of a hope) for the GOP to be replaced by the libertarian party since they seem a lot more reasonable than the GOP.

Yes. Just continue on as you have for the previous four years, and you will continue to fade into obscurity. You will become totally irrelevant, the conservatives in the Rebuplican party. Keep on doing the same things.

But do you have a plan to deal with the intense anger, bitterness and feelings of necessary revenge that are starting to brew and simmer in places like rural Idaho, Mississippi, Western Arkansas and Southern Indiana?

- Obama rejected gay marriage several times before his position "evolved" ( I like how the press puts that)

- Obama kept Gitmo open despite saying he would close it

- Obama said he would cut the spending by 50 percent but increased it

- Obama is killing hundreds of women and children with drone strikes

- Obama went to war against Libya without Congressional approval so big oil could expand there.

- Obama's "pro-worker" policy was to take the pensions of 20,000 non-union Delphi workers and give the money to the UAW.

- Obama promised to have entitlement reform which would save Medicare/Social Security but did nothing.

They deserve to be replaced by the Libertarian Party since they seem more reasonable than the GOP and they can actually compete with us far better.

For these past few days since the election we've offered nothing but helpful advice and they now consider it gloating, so stop. It's unnecessary because now they aren't listening. We're done with that, alright?

I don't even want any conservatives to comment on this thread unless they actually know their party has a problem and want to truthfully acknowledge it. It's not the race of the party that has kept them down, and we all know this yet they don't want to admit it. So lets just watch them diminish because they deserve to now.

We aren't taking anymore BS, seriously. That's all I'm stressing from my fellow Democrats, Liberals, 'Socialists', Etc. We've dealt with it for four years already, we've listened to all the complaining already, we're done.

SN: I apologize to those conservatives who have to be associated with such a pathetic party. Not all of you are the way your fellow conservatives on this site nor politicians are but you're grouped with them by default.

A decent sized read on the GOP lost, if you have the time to read it.

I am not giving them advice. I want them to continue to lose so that America wins. My main concentration is on getting single-payer established and electing as many progressives as possible.

Let us know how that goes, k?
