The left will never get it. They think austerity is bad. They think spending cuts on ridiculous government wasteful programs are bad. All in the name of their savior Obama. There has never been a worse President or time in this country and yet, they just go along happily and merrily and think all will be well.

Don't even try to understand them, it will make you run screaming into the night!!

The Federal government pays out $1.2 billion a DAY for interest payments on the debt.
I am ceratain that liberals could find other things to spend that kind of money on a daily basis if it wasn't going to interest payments.

The "left" didn't start three wars.
The "left" didn't create multiple government "Czar" positions.
The "left" didn't start bailing out banks and other major companies when they screwed up.
The "left" didn't create the government monstrosity that is the TSA
The "left" didn't create the Dept. of Homeland Security
The "left" didn't expend time and money trying to write a gay marriage ban into the constitution
The "left" didn't cut taxes on the wealthiest citizens in the face of insurmountable debt

I think you get the idea.

Yet The Left Just Doesn't Get It
The Right just doesn't get it either. Reagan ran up the debt 188%, Bush 1 ran it up 56%, Bush 2 ran it up 89%.

No, YOU don't get it. At least watch the news and get out from under your rock before you post on political issues.

Obama is trying to make a deal that raises taxes (lets tax cuts expire) on people earning more than 250k a year and eliminate other deductions that favor the extreme rich, which a bi-partisan committee and Alan Greenspan said were necessary to balance our budge, but the republicans aren't budging yet. Why is it necessary on the rich you ask? Because the rich make up a majority of the income in the US, so taxing the rich an extra %3 would raise vastly more revenue than raising it on the middle class or poor. Part of this deal is that Obama would also cut entitlement reforms, which he seems willing to do.

The national debt has been huge for YEARS. Especially under Bush. We spent TRILLIONS overseas in the middle east wars that went no where, so don't give liberals crap.

Obama wants to end temporary Bush tax cuts to the upper 2% of income earners - back to what they were under Clinton - who was the only recent President to reduce the debt. But Boehner and the right don't get it.

Did the Debt just magically appear? Hasn't it been accumulating for quite some time?
