As an American I feel a little bit ashamed that Canada, and now Mexico, are beating us in extending the civil right of civil marriage to all it's citizens.

But it will happen here in US. Sooner than you think.

Well, it has to the do with the USA, because Mexico is our next door neighbor to the south, and Canada (which also has Marriage Equality) is our next door neighbor to the north. Don't you think it just might inspire and energize the millions of Americans who are part of the LGBT community, their families and their supporters?

HA. This is always the type of reaction we see from the anti-gay crowd whenever there's good news for gays and their supporters.

The name of this category is Politics and Other Controversies. Obviously, same-sex marriage is still controversial to many people, so the discussion fits in perfectly right here.

So you'd feel better about America if a group of unelected justices overruled the expressed will of the people?

The will of the people doesn't matter if the will of the people is found to be unconstitutional.

Absolutely!

There are parts of this country that still aren't sure about that whole interracial marriage thing. I want them casting their vote on a civil rights issue like I want syphilis:
