I think perhaps Op takes destroy a little differently than what some mean. May think that it will be destroyed as they have known it ;emaing(mainly?) they think it will basically not be the same ole USA.
Well I attempted to make sense of what you typed.... So you think it will be the "same ole USA" after Texas succeeds? Is that the USA you know?
Seems like the R's are the ones seeking to dismantle the country, from the Constitution to the very Union.

Since 2008, i've been hearing from the GOP that Obama will destroy this country and that we will become Greece. Can you guys please tell me which date that is, so I know when to get out. Its going on 2013, its been 4 years now, at some point this doom and gloom has to actually happen.
When will the dam break when cracks appear? No one knows, but the ultimate outcome is clear.
1. When Obama is out of office (provided he does not get a third term), the national debt will be $22 trillion.
2.We have annual deficits of $1.2 trillion and no will to curb them.
3. We have over 50% of the population that is dependent upon the rest
4. We have a new multi-trillion dollar entitlement in Obamacare
5. We have record number of citizens on food stamps and climbing
6. We have the highest unemployment levels (real numbers) since the Great Depression
7. Obama has no policies to stimulate business or job growth- the converse is true
8. The Obama admin grabs more and more power through executive orders and "czars"
9. We have a government that declares "redistribution" to be its stated goal
10. We have unfunded liabilities of nearly $100 trillion for social security and medicare
So............................. when will these practices destroy America? Who knows- but they certainly will do so.

We are almost there now, you just don't see it. We are barely free to do anything on our own, without some new federal law or regulation getting in our way. Even something as simple as a child's lemonade stand, or your bathroom toilet is regulated and policed.

I was looking at his question from another angle. It's true that we are currently wallpapering over our problems with trillion dollar bills, which is utterly unsustainable. Even if the liberals don't care about freedom, you'd think they'd be concerned about a runaway federal government, spending us into bankruptcy. The liberals can do the Snoopy dance 24/7, because Obama won the election, but it's their future, and their children's future that are in danger, as well as the rest of us.
The day occurred about the time the tea party was gathering and the news media igniored their presence. When Charles Gibson told a reporter he never heard of the tea party rallys. That day marked the day the news media abandoned their responsibility to be the people's watchdog to ensure the government didn't run amuck. The day they became Obama's propaganda machine in the great tradition of all despotic takeovers. When we lose the media as an independant witness to government activities we lose the country.
That day marks the greatest tradgedy in american history as well as the official end of America.
We are doing better now than when Obama took office. Just read the headlines from 2007/2008. The End was near and Obama saved the economy.
And you think recessions continue forever with more and more people getting laid-off until the entire workforce is collecting extended unemployment benefits and foodstamps?
You must be very young to not remember the Regan recovery.
