"Sen. Ted Cruz will meet with a group of House Republicans Wednesday to urge them to oppose House Speaker John A. Boehner’s plan to stem the flow of migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to several House members who plan to attend the 7 p.m. gathering at Cruz’s office.

Cruz’s huddle is the latest example of the combative freshman senator wading into House affairs and serving as an informal whip against the leadership’s immigration position, and is also a direct shot at Boehner’s effort to pass his legislative package, hours before the bill is scheduled to come to the House floor on Thursday."

Cruz whipping tonight against Boehner border bill - The Washington Post

I wish I could say I feel sorry for Boehner, forced to not only deal with his own recalcitrant lunatics in the House, but having to fend off the likes of Cruz again and again as well. But I just can't muster up any sympathy for the Speaker. He has created his own mess in the House by giving in again and again to the crazies on the far right. This is what he gets. They own him now.

Boehner's bill is a step in the right direction, not that it matters because even if it passes the house and Senate Obama said that he will veto it anyway. Weak excuses abound, but the bottom line is that Obama wants to look like a pro-illegal President. Cruz needs to learn to compromise a little.
This poll says it all, not that Obama cares what we the people want.

A freshman Senator holding sway over House members and influencing House business reminds me of the least popular kid in the senior class hanging with the sophomores. He's cool to the sophomores because he's a bigger kid that pays attention to them, but he's still the lowest on the pecking order among his peers.

Well one thing is for sure. The vast majority of Americans do not agree with Obama's approach on illegal immigration. Evidently the facts have blown away the smoke and mirrors.
Cruz is like a little ankle biter yipping and barking at every shadow. Sometimes like all ankle biters he gets it right. On this one not so much, but I agree with him we need to start hammering illegals and those who hire them. Pretty much disagree with most of his BS.

The vast majority of Americans don't really have a clue about the issue at hand.

I'm with Cruz and fully support standing up against the establishment. Its unfortunate that for most of Obama's terms, no democrats have done the same to him.

Giving Obama a free pass around congress, is not my idea of good legislation.

Unable to Secure Votes, Boehner Begins to Crack on Border Bill

Its important to note what Cruz is asking for. Read the link. Seems like common sense to me. He and others are trying to prevent any expansion of DACA which is a good thing.

Cruz, the teddy bear and soccer ball enabler, doesn't want the border crisis solved. I don't know if it's because he can't relate, if it's his dad's charity with the illegal community, if it's corporate kick backs or just plain old political tricks. Man, I'm getting cynical. Anywho, he wants this very same bill attached to the Democrats bill after which he will agree and cooperate with the $3.7 billion dollars. Sure thing, I'm not buying it. Do a stand alone bill or better yet wait for the real immigration bill. This Republican bill is a crisis bill only.

Poll: 68% Disapprove of Obama on Illegal Immigration; Plurality Oppose Border Bill

All while Obama never will compromise?
