Celebrating Christmas with a bang: Americans pose happily by the tree with guns they were given as gifts despite wake of deadly shootings

Santa Claus came to town - and he was packing heat - as numerous Americans were seen on social networks posing in front of their Christmas trees with the same assault rifle used by the gunmen in three recent bloody killings.

So what? I've seen people pose for pictures beside new cars, despite people dying in car accidents every day too. Your post, and that article, make no sense whatsoever.

If they were actually standing at a memorial site for those killed in the massacre and brandishing guns, you might have a point. But they weren't. And maybe they were holding up their gun in celebration of the fact that as long as they have that gun, no madman will be free to shoot defenseless innocent people as long as armed law abiding citizens are around to shoot back.

Good for those people. I'm glad they're enjoying them and I'm a bit jealous that nobody in my family would buy one for me. A few hot girls holding them was nice to see too.

The only reason this story makes news is because the silly media makes it all about Newtown, with which it has absolutely nothing to do.

Lots and lots and lots of people get guns for Christmas. Wish I had gotten one.

Obama was right...we are clinging to God and our guns..he just had no idea how widespread that feeling was. As he now looks around he is standing pretty much alone except for some of his zombies and union thugs.

I'd rep you but it won't let me.
Problem is, there's lot's of those union thugs and it seems zombies as well. Just eyeball some of the forum posts on here!
Thing is the shooting in CT had caused millions of eyeballs to focus on the media reporting it and as time passes those eyeballs look elsewhere. The media being the "eyeball junkies" that they are will now do everything they can to perpetuate the tragedy to keep/gain eyeballs no matter that it's ginned up,hyped and completely un-associated.

Pretty much the media version of "never let a good catastrophe go to waste".

Good for them. The wonderful thing about this country is that people get to CHOOSE what gifts they buy for Christmas.
