What religion? Seeing as there should be no religion at all in politics how can anyone (right left, centrist) force anything upon anyone.
Oh wait, we see that every day with RWNJ who uses their religion to redefine rape, and prevent women from seeking medical care and want to claim ownership over womens' reproductive rights\
You're kidding right - did you read the second argument from the administration that I posted in post #91. They used the word "force" and "coerce".
And they would be wrong. An abortion is the killing of a zygote / foetus which has IMPLANTED in the wall of the uterus. Prevention of implantation is no different than a period.
I think the theology of these people does not distinguish between fertilized eggs which have and have not been implanted.
Actually the fanatics here are those who cannot tell the difference between an egg not implanting and an abortion and further, they do not WANT to know the difference.
Thank you!
Emergency contraception and abortion are not the same thing! Will someone please pass that onto the misguided owners of the Hobby Lobby?
You know - the ones that want to actually dispense the medications for their employees?
IF the HL is unwilling to move into this century - then they should close their doors and allow another business to step in, hire their employees, and take their place in this market.
The law, Obamacare, that you keep trying to defend is an unconstitutionally created and passed one in that the Supreme Court said that it was surely unconstitutional by anything other than the fact that it is a tax law. Now the Constitutiion says that all revenue bills have to originate in the House of Representatives and it was written in the offices of the Senate head man by three or four Senators, some union bosses and some insurance wheels and passed in the Senate and then sent to the House for Nasty Nancy's most famous words. It DID NOT originate in the House and is a tax law. That makes it unconstitutional, in my eyes. I wonder what Chief Justice Roberts will say when the suits, lots of them, about it being a tax act get back to the Supreme Court. What do you think?
So you don't know the difference between a for-profit corporation and a non-profit religious organization, that makes sense by the way you keep arguing about how much you hate Obamacare while ignoring the facts, which I can only guess is because you don't know the difference between those two things.

Wrong.
They did say it was a tax/law. They ruled solely on the issues before them which did not include where taxes were to originate; thus, they did NOT rule ACA unconstitutional.
There are presently no court cases concerning taxation and where it originates scheduled for SCOTUS. SCOTUS can only accept cases referred to it; they cannot rule except on the limited questions presented in those cases.
So , at least presently, your imagination is the only thing which has ruled ACA unconstitutional.
Yet, the majority of Catholics use conraceptives anyway.
