Obama is eating the Republicans lunch 'cause they handed it to him by virtue of their own incompetence.

The crying you hear is the Republican Party who has just come to the realization that they have had their asses handed to them on a plate.

This is the new Republican World:

They are at an all-time low in unpopularity. Root canals and Republicans are loved equally in the United States.

That crying you hear is the Republican Party. That crunching is Obama eating their lunch. - Democratic Underground

Well given that BOTH parties are filled to the brim with corrupt, knuckle-dragging incompetents, I'm pretty sure that the pendulum will start swinging back the other way pretty soon.

You make it sound like a good thing.

This is just to show you that those self-reliant, independent, responsible Americans are in the minority nowadays. Very sad. We now have a huge breed of people who think they deserve fruits from other people's hard work just because they were born American.

When we have irresponsible and government-dependent people in majority, we of course will elect politicians who are just the same. Garbage in, garbage out.

Don't count on it and as much as I hate to cross a fellow Leaner, I cannot agree that Obama has won anything. The Republicans will go to ground with their money and the country will continue to be starved for revenue. Even though it is clear that anymore spending cuts will drive the economy into total shutdown that is the outcome Republicans insist on because only they have the reserves of cash necessary to survive the coming Fiscal Apocalypse. I imagine they want to implode things and kill off every form of life except human beings earning over $450K/yr. Wait till they see what that really looks like.

Its really simple. If you take away people's opportunity to work and contribute, then you cannot tax them for revenue to run their country. You also have to maintain their health and also a minimal level of comfort. Anything less and you are not a civilized country. German businessmen are allowed to build factories offshore. They are NOT allowed to MOVE factories offshore. See the difference? You can build extra manufacturing capacity abroad, but you cannot earn all your revenue from the exploitation of low wage labor markets abroad. Moreover a significant portion of your revenue goes towards maintaining the infrastructure and standard of living of your country. If that was an impossible paradigm there would not be an extant Germany. There would not be any German millionaires... billionaires. Water falls to its own level. About 1% of humans are lazy slackers that need the support of a welfare state. Another percent are genuinely disabled or otherwise indisposed to being able to work for a living. Civilized countries shoulder this burden willingly or not, because to allow 2% of the population to fail through attrition brings down the quality of life for all. If you keep fish in an aquarium and you do not quickly attend to the presence of a sick or dying fish you will shortly lose the entire tankful. Bitching and moaning about the unfairness of it all and how dare that worthless fish for sickening and/or dying do not change the fact that you better do something, and quick, or a tankful of possibly very expensive fish are going to die through your inaction.

There has been a lot of crying on the right since the election...I figured it would go away by now, but they seem to be going strong with the crying and whining...though I still wonder what happened to all that talk about seceding, it sounded like they were all gung-ho on the topic of seceding, but instead it has turned into nothing more than just plain ol' whining.

No American has "won" anything.

We have elected a bunch of whining, crying, foot-stomping, foul-mouthed, unreasonable, heartless people to be our elected officials. They care about themselves, winning their arguments and getting what they want without regard for the American people. Both parties are guilty.

Apparently none of them paid attention in school when the concepts of negotiation and compromise were taught. But they sat up straight when they learned the meaning of selfishness.

Shame on every single one of them. Though they won't understand the meaning of that word either.
