No actually, they're very isolated. There are more than 300 million people in this country, how many are killed in mass killings each year? Just how often does a crazy guy with high capacity magazines rush into a place and shoot and bunch of people? I know your default answer is "too often" but let's be rational, how often does this actually happen?

Ok.. if its so uncommon, why the need to carry a 30 round clip and semi automatic to defend yourself?

Mass murder/suicide is very uncommon and very isolated, random crime however is not.

Who's carrying around a 30 round magazine? It's illegal to open carry a self defense weapon in my state, only CCW.

EDIT: I legally carry a Sig 938 9mm for CCW self defense and I carry the factory 7 round mag with 1 in the chamber.

I've carried a .40 with a 16 round mag and a spare mag in my pocket a few times, didn't accidentally murder any bus load of nuns.

Clever, it was funny when Shatner said it in 1986, pretty pathetic that's the best you can come up with. Next you'll probably spout the same lie the rest of you people keep repeating about "no one wants to ban all guns". That's a complete crock and everyone knows it.

I'm sure this fits you to a tee.

Those guys on the bottom are just some old white dudes anyway, why should they matter?

It would be nice to talk to someone who wanted to restrict gun ownership who actually knew what they were talking about, but that bar is clearly much to high for this forum.

You don't think a home invasion with multiple attackers would need a 30 round magazine? Or in your fantasy hollywood world does everyone only need 1 bullet / attacker? Or maybe you think that multiple people don't commit home invasions (another fantasy)? Are you so narrow minded?

And if 49% of the people don't like your government they're just SOL, is that it? That's why we are a constitutional republic, not a democracy. Tyranny of the majority, that is what the Constitution is supposed to protect against.

Do you really want that bloodshed on your hands?

It will start the biggest civil war in world history. Once the civil war starts, other countries will choose sides, join in & rapidly escalate hostilities before taking control. Or other countries will jump at the chance to invade as we are busy fighting each other. If a mini-revolution starts you can be sure Russia and China will further support it to destroy the US once and for all. Revolutionaries would have access to money and a nice weapon flow as well as intelligence and logistics.

Armageddon will be the day the government thinks they ageddon our arms! The attempt to disarm worked so well for the ATF at Ruby Ridge, Waco & Oklahoma City. The media failed to tell people about how Germany helped McVeigh bomb the Oklahoma City Federal building. Andreas Strassmeir was a German agent & directly assisted Tim McVeigh, Terry Nichols & others in blowing up the ATF & the Oklahoma City Federal building. The ATF was quickly reigned in from gun confiscation or enforcement.

German agent Andreas Strassmeir now lives quietly with his parents in a well-to-do area of West Berlin. His father was once a top aide to German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. His brother is a city councillor. For seven years he served in the German army and a liaison officer with the Welsh Guards.
Our military is trying to stabilize Afghanistan and help country build. They were never designed for that, so of course it has taken 11 years. If we were just going in there to attack and while them out, we would of been done within 6 months.

You keep telling yourself that, and what happened to them when the succeeded? Oh yeah, they lost. You guys don't have the guts or the clout in any state in this country to even try to succeed today.
