But I think - and forgive me if I'm wrong or projecting - that you might be projecting your own fears and level of discomfort of fire arms on to others. Based on what you've said, I think I have a slight grasp about your presonality, and it's probably a good thing you don't have a gun. Others feel differently.
It's too bad you chose to engage in insulting me because I had thought we were having a good conversation. I'm not projecting my fears onto others because I do support the 2nd amendment.

Funny because while I own and use them plenty, I never, ever want to use one on a person.

But want I may want and what I may need are two entirely separate issues.

My apologies. My comments were for the person my initial response was for. I got confused as to who was posting what. I wrongly attributed another comment to you.
Again, Sorry.

I know many gun owners don't want to use them on a person. But when I said "use one" I meant even shoot one - ever. Not target shooting, hunting, etc. I just don't like them at all. Again, I realize just because I may not like them doesn't mean others should not have them.

If you're home and being burglarized:

Shout. If they leave, don't shoot them. If they aren't bothered by your presence and stay, shoot them as you see fit.

If they're close enough to you that you can see whether they leave or not you've already let them get way too close to you. I fully intended on shouting once I've fired the 3rd round.

Ay least you are sensible about it. Many gun grabbers do not want anyone to have a gun just because they don't like them. I hope I never have to use my gun to take a life, but it is my insurance policy if anyone comes into my home intending to do harm to my family.
