Hurricanes and tropical storms are among the worlds' deadliest killers and we need to take steps to ban them or stop people from living where they are known to attack. Each and every year these storms attack the world and we do nothing to prevent the resulting death and rampant carnage.
An estimated 20,000 men, women and CHILDREN die every year from these monster storms and reportedly 150 people died from the latest hurricane Sandy. Hurricane Katrina killed over 1,800 people in a matter of days and nothing has been done to bring these killers to justice! This carnage needs to end before they strike again and we all know it is only a matter of time before one of these bloodthirsty storms strike again.
What are the best options to prevent this from happening again? Should we relocate people to the midwest? Annex Canada and put them there? If it saves one child's life it will be worth it.
Thoughts?
"In the United States, tropical cyclones caused annual average damages of $1.6 billion between 1950-1989, and of $6.2 billion between 1989-1995.2 Hurricane Andrew, which struck south Florida and Louisiana in 1992, is the costliest storm on record, at $30 billion in total losses and $16 billion in insured losses."
Maybe we could pass some hurricane control laws. I don't think all hurricanes should be banned. Since some storms help in cleaning the enviroment I suggest we only ban the more powerful and destructive storms. Hurricanes above a Catagory 2 should be banned.
Cities with a higher percentage of black people have a higher crime rate statistically. Should we move all the white people to other white areas?
Of course not. Because both ideas are absolutely stupid.
People that live in hurricane zones are putting their lives in danger. Would it not be prudent to save them from themselves? They are obviously at a higher risk for a catastrophic event that can be prevented.

True, but when was the last time 1,800 people were killed in Iowa over a few days?
