how quickly he dropped from sight..

The shooter of an unarmed security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters last summer was on a mission to target organizations he viewed as anti-gay, and he obtained a gun days before he tried to carry out a plan to kill “as many people as possible,” according to newly disclosed court documents.

A detail sure to reignite the culture wars that erupted around the shooting is the fact that Corkins told FBI agents that he identified the Family Research Council as anti-gay on the Web site of the Southern Poverty Law Center. The day after the shooting, Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, suggested that the law center’s labeling of the organization as a hate group had given Corkins a “license to perpetrate this act of violence.”

No surprise Left-wing terrorists are quickly swept under the rug by the liberal mainstream media.

Did you noticed how quickly they dropped the Zimmerman hype when it turned out he was Latino and not the Bad White Boogeyman?

Even Jared Lee Loughner was kid-gloved by the media after they learned he was a registered Democrat and not the vicious right-wing militant they'd hoped he was (and was mistakenly/deliberately reported as being).

The media's only interested in promoting white, red-state militia, right-wing terrorists to fan the flames of fear and ignorance and to taint all Republicans-conservatives-Christians-RedStateFolk as being "racist".

Default Attempted Mass Murderer Chose Targets From Southern Poverty Law Group's Website

The man went to the SPLC website and looked up their list of "hate" groups. He made a hand written list of 4 conservative groups and planned to kill as many people as possible at those groups. The SPLC created this situation for labeling these groups hate groups. And the media helped hype it up. The man brought 15 Chic Fil A sandwiches with him that he planned rub in the faces of the dead bodies. Think about that for a second. The founder of Chic Fil A said the same thing Obama did 4 years ago, that he believed in traditional marriage. But the media and SPLC helped get this guy so wound up that he planned to kill as many as possible and then smear Chick Fil A in their faces.

Quote:
Corkins -- who had chosen the research council as his target after finding it listed as an anti-gay group on the website of the Southern Poverty Law Center -- had planned to stride into the building and open fire on the people inside in an effort to kill as many as possible, he told investigators, according to the court documents.
If he'd been successful and escaped, his plan was to go to another conservative group to continue the attack, prosecutors said. A handwritten list naming three other groups he planned to attack was found among his belongings, prosecutors said. . . .

And he had stopped by Chick-fil-A to pick up 15 sandwiches, which he planned to smear in the dying faces of staffers he expected to kill at the Family Research Council in Washington.
DC shooter wanted to kill as many as possible, prosecutors say - CNN.com

The Family Research Council had been on the SPLC "hate" group list since 2010. Even after the shooting, the SPLC refuses to take down their list of "hate" groups or even remove the FRC. Looks like SPLC are truly the hateful ones. They don't even care that this man was planning mass murder based on their list.

In my view, the SPLC has devolved from a semi-responsible watch group to that of a radical liberal hate institution. I personally believe that their current trajectory as an organization has made it relevant to only the most fringe of the radical left, and thus not worthy of any serious consideration.

Absolutely. They are the true hate group at this point. They targeted groups for saying the same thing Obama said for years, and that ended up causing a nutcase to use their list to target these groups, and they still aren't willing to remove their irresponsible list. SPLC is the true hate group at this point.

Where are the articles lambasting SPLC for an "enemies list"?

We have seen liberals blasting the NRA for such.

I blame the South. If we didn't have the South, we wouldn't have the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The SLPC is a hypocritical group that doesn't really stand for what they claim but nobody else is responsible for what someone with mental health issues does.

Well I will argue that the government is as they spend trillions of dollars overseas as opposed to mental health care here.
