Education
Watching the news this morning, and Obama was talking about investing in pre-kindergarden. This has been a big solution for me. . especially urban/disadvantaged kids.

The Case For Preschool : Planet Money : NPR

My idea is that some parents are idiots, and don't know what they are doing. The cost to sciety is huge. . and no one looks like they are going to endorse licenses to have kids. Programs that prepare kids for kindergarden are a great way to start kids education right. Seriously, the article is amazing. Some kids start kindergarden and don't know HOW TO HOLD A BOOK. If you start kindergarden like that, no matter how smart you are, your doomed.

Minimum Wage

The evidence is exact Opposite on minimum wage. I think business and people have more jobs, and more capability, if the minimum wage (a moral obligation to some) is so low, that it can't impact hiring. If you deserve a salary, you will get it. The evidence supports it too.. .I want to reward and drive people to grow/find jobs/educate themselves/etc. Giving raises to people not related to their ability and performance for an employer is how Unions ruined GM, and why our teachers suck so bad.

So yes obama, we need pre-k for the future. But I'm 100% against raising the minimum wage. . .if anything, I think we would be better off getting rid of the federal minimum wage.
