It doesn't surprise me to see Maricopa County's (in central Arizona) Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, also known as America's Toughest Sheriff, on the list. I'm also very pleased to see a lot of Sheriffs from California on the list.
Our 400,000 pop. county's sheriff in Pa is against it. He issued me my CCP and even instituted a travelling license center to make it easier to get one. Of course we do sell more guns than any other county in Pa.....
As of last count that represents 2.8% of the Sheriffs in the US.
Color me unimpressed.
It's a publicity stunt and I believe that many sheriffs are elected. This reminds me of the anti Sharia laws, quite foolish and a waste of tax payer money.
The 2nd amemdment will remain part of the Constitution for many many years, so it's posturing to broadcast that one will protect it.
