You ever met a star athlete that didn't think highly of themselves?
Yes, many - and I know about half of the Niners personally. I've actually been dating (on & off) a former Niner & Super Bowl champ, and he's so insecure at times I have to reassure him he's not just a "fat dumb jock." Sure, they are perceived as superstars, but in reality they have the same fears and insecurities as anyone else, sometimes even more so. It's especially bad when we're talking about former players, since their entire lives have revolved around football... and once that goes away, they often have no idea where their value lies. Did you know that around 80% of ex-players are broke and/or divorced within five years of retiring? That was true for my guy!
Having such an intimate relationship with the team, I can also say this one guy doesn't speak for the entire franchise. That is just HIS opinion, and while he is fully entitled to that opinion, he also had to expect people would react negatively. Furthermore, very few of our players actually come from SF, so he also doesn't speak for our city. End of story.
Culliver's attitude is more the norm than the exception in the league IMO.
The NFL is packed with younger, often immature divas that have had thier butts kissed since 7th grade (or earlier) in a sports worshipping culture.
To my knowledge no NFL player has ever come out of the closet while active. In fact, can anybody point to a past player or three that has even come out of the closet after retiring? No, practice squad players don't count.
Do you not find it hypocritcal that you choose to play on an "all gay" football team but have a problem with Culliver wanting to play on an "all straight" team?
Cause and effect, duh... if they aren't fully accepted on "straight teams," what do you expect? So no, it isn't hypocritical - especially if this "gay team" wouldn't actually discriminate.
Why is that so funny? I guess you don't know much about physiology vs sexual orientation, or you'd know the two aren't inter-connected. Do you really believe all gay men are weak? I'd love to see you tell that to my 6'4" ex-Naval officer friend, who is openly & proudly gay/transgendered.

Nothing hypocritical, mainly because your "all gay" characterization is wrong. Every gay flag football team I'm aware of is a member of NGFFL - National Gay Flag Football League. Here is its mission statement:
"The National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL) seeks to promote the positive social and athletic enjoyment of American Flag Football. Through our league, our events and most importantly our members, we also seek to foster and augment the self-respect of all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons and to promote respect and understanding from the larger community. While particular emphasis is placed on these specific goals, it is a fundamental principle of NGFFL that all activities, social and athletic, are conducted to be inclusive in nature and that no individual shall be excluded from participating on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political beliefs, athletic ability, physical challenge, HIV status or gender identity."
Non gay people are more than welcome on gay flag football teams.
And then there's also the part where private social clubs are very different from businesses that employee people (like the 49ers).

He's transgendered he is not strong at least he isn't physically or he should get his money back from whoever did his sex change.

Until you learn the difference between transgendered and sex changes, your comment is completely irrelevant - and makes absolutely no sense. Go read a book on the topic, and then come back and try again.
Hint: He still has a penis, and has undergone no surgeries to change his gender.

I've played on both. I doubt I've ever played completely on one or the other. There's quite a few straight guys who play in gay leagues just because its close to where they live. Some guys just wanna play football.
I play in all types of leagues. Do you even play football?
