Why is it that so many think that being gay is all about sex? Anymore so than being heterosexual is?
It's just plain ignorant to think that a gay scout leader is going to talk about the intimate details of his (or her) private life with kids anymore than a straight scout leader will.
if "sex" is not a big deal to gays then why all the fuss? Why are we constantly hearing about homosexuals? If gays don't want their sexual orientation to be a big deal, then they need to stop shoving it down our throats.
Another shining example of conservatives not being bigots who support discrimination against some group of Americans.
Thank god, Rick Perry supports the right of the boy scouts to discriminate against homosexuals even though the boy scouts no longer want to discriminate, because you know boy scouts discriminating against homosexuals is freedom for Rick Perry.

The core of liberalism is acceptance of everything except decency in the name of "inclusion".
The boy scouts are all about promoting a certain lifestyle, part of which involves being a Christian if I'm not mistaken. Being a homosexual (lifestyle) and being a Christian are not mutually compatible. This integration is tantamount to the destruction of the boy scouts. Not that I care too much, but let's not sugar coat it.

A)That being a boy scout is partly about being a Christian? Don't they pray?
B)Being a homosexual in lifestyle is incompatible with Christian teachings? This is also obvious to any thinking person acquainted with Christianity.
So allowing B destroys A and the original purpose of the boy scouts.

It's more about how the boys in the troop deal with having openly gay oriented leaders and boys around them. It just complicates the whole scouting dynamic and do parents really want to have discussions about alternative adult lifestyles with their children so soon?

Institutions discriminate as a matter of policy. They let people of like minded goals, desires, and lifestyles into their group. If they couldn't discriminate they wouldn't exist.
