Interesting coincidences!

2011: New York State legalizes same-sex marriage
2012: New York Giants win the Super Bowl

2012: Maryland legalizes same-sex marriage
2013: Baltimore Ravens win the Super Bowl

If I were an NFL head coach, I'd be making some phone calls to state legislators right about now.

You know it. In fact, one of the Ravens players came out in defense of marriage equality. A Maryland politician slammed the team owners and demanded that they censure the player. The team stood by the player. I'm proud of that team for standing up to bigotry and achieving Super Bowl winner status.

Also an interesting coincidence that Chris Culliver of the 49ers this week posted an anti-gay statement about gay teammates being unwelcome on the team, that he publicly apologized for. And now his team lost.

What are you talking about? Marriage has always been equal. Men and women have been able to marry forever. Men have been proposing to women forever.

ohhhh wait. You're talking about changing the definition of marriage to suit the abnormal.

50 years ago, interracial marriage was abnormal (and illegal). Historically, polygamy and incest were viewed as perfectly acceptable marriages. Men haven't been proposing to women forever. Women have, through most of human history, been forced to be married. There was no proposal. Why are anti-gays always the most uneducated people here?

I support gay marriage.

Abnormal isn't the correct word. It's become the norm but unlike interracial couples who do not share the same sex organs, gay couples do not benefit the species as reproduction is impossible. If anything, homosexuality is a detriment to human population. I'm sure a lot of you will think "well that's a good thing because the world is overpopulated and derp.." but the fact is that it isn't. It's a downward, destructive cycle and treatment should be looked into if it's a natural illness.

Unfortunately, it will never be looked into as it would be politically incorrect to study that side of human behavior and it's effects on populations both physically and mentally.

Funny thing about the word abnormal...It has the word NORM in it. If we remember back to our social studies, social norms are the group-held beliefs about behavior. If the majority of the group believes in change...the norm changes.
