I am confused by how this world became so screwed up. Liberals DEMAND that we cannot use public (government or tax funded) facilities to display a nativity scene because that would be promoting a specific religion with public tax money, yet the very same people would say putting on a Drag Queen show at a tax payer funded Student Union would be ok because that represents diversity. Not only are they doing this, flaunting this perversity in our faces, but this is the 7th year in a row? I wonder how many open minded (WTF?) people are going to take their children to view this PUBLIC display of sickness?

The thing I find really disturbing is the BS claim by the LGBT community that they only want to be accepted. No... You want to PUSH that sickness into all aspects of life, flaunting it in our faces. All the while demanding the world accept your lifestyle as normal.

Tell me LGBT community... Is it NOT enough that we don't give a tinker's damn what you do in the privacy of your own bedrooms?

Events <<< This is the link to the K-State Events calendar. I am not sure if this page will exist tomorrow, so I'll take a snap of it and post it elsewhere in the thread..

From this 2nd link you can see how wholesome this Drag Queen show is with acts like:

Once again, we will be joined by the fabulous members of Hot, Sticky, & Sweet - Patti O'Dour, Tywoo, and Victoria Fox. They are joined by our newest cast member, Lil Kimchi!

Our out of town guest stars include Monica St. James, Chelsea Pearl, and from Season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race, Penny Tration!
7th Annual K-State Drag Show! Going To Camp! | Manhattan

I would post youtube links to this but you can look it up yourself because I view this crap as immoral and filthy porn.

The world is screwed up!

Religion and orientation/dress are two different things with two different laws. I don't care how "immoral and filthy" you find it (why?), but there are no laws against people in fabulous dresses having a show. Were they having actual sex in public? If not, I don't really see your point. Just another chance to slam people who don't fit into your neat little bigoted box, I guess.

Btw, drag shows are actually a lot of fun, and rarely include anything unsuitable for public viewing. My own mother took me to a drag fashion show, when I was probably 15 years old, and we had a blast!! It didn't turn me into a drag queen (king) or gay, either. Whoa.

Default Question ...

I have a question:

Are taxpayers actually paying for this show? To be more specific: is taxpayer money paying the performers or entertainers a fee? Or, is taxpayer money paying for the props or scenery in this show?

Probably not. I wonder if the OP went to college, because those of us who did know all SORTS of events & shows are held on campuses. We had Christmas trees and decorations at my college, in addition to a Christian group that met regularly... we also had a Jewish (Hillel) group, a gay-straight alliance, etc. Of course, I went to a private school, but still doubt any "taxpayer money" is funding this show. Matter of fact, most colleges rent out their theaters for profit - which was probably the case here. My old orchestra performed at a community college, and we had no taxpayer funding or affiliation with the school.

Just in case it is gone tomorrow, here is a snapshot of the pertinent portion of the K-State Events calendar page.

Maybe I'm all wrong on this situation...

To provide a venue for this show, one that is funded by tax dollars, and at the same time refuse to allow a nativity scene in the exact same venue, is beyond absurd in my book.

You are not wrong, you are just talking to the wrong crowd. See here in the CD world anything to do with our Lord and Savior is bad, while anything perverted and immoral is good. It has become a sorry and dark world that we live in.

Maybe the two factions could come together...so to speak, and the girls could do a live Nativity Scene with Miss Hot- Sticky & Sweet, Patti O'Dour, Tywoo, Victoria Fox, Lil Kimchi and Miss Penny Tration playing your favorite Bible characters.
