Prospects improve for long-term unemployed

This is sensational news. IMO, the most important change in prospects for the unemployed overall.

Don't get too happy. The right wingers will swarm to this thread and remind all of us that America will be worse than Somalia by 2016.

I am happy to hear the people that were hurt the hardest with the recession are finally starting to find work again. Lets home this trend continues for the next four years to get this country back up and running again.

This weekend, I'm traveling and am deep in the heart of the most far-right corner of a very Red state. The economy seems to be booming here. Every hotel, restaurant, retail mall, etc. is wall-to-wall with folks driving late-model cars. It's hard to find parking places at the eating and shopping places and hotels.
I've been roaming these parts since the mid-1970s and have never seen it prospering like it is now.
