Cruise Passenger Embarrasses CNN Reporter for Comparing Situation to Katrina: ‘We’re on a Freaking Cruise Ship’ | Video | TheBlaze.com

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PCPLMOe51o

Liberal media at its worst, as usual. Keep in mind, this was no accident. He wasnt the only one who did something like this regarding the cruise ship mess. Others in the liberal media also brought up taxes, the rich companies, etc when talking about it. The liberal media will politicize ANYTHING and EVERYTHING if they can some how spin it towards their views.

Im glad the passenger was bright enough to refute such a stupid statement by that reporter in this case.

I'm surprised the media hasn't tried to blame Sarah Palin for it.

The isolation factor you described, this is the same sort of thing that many people who went through Katrina in New Orleans – those that were left behind – they never heard anything either,” Savidge said, referring to the lack of communication with the mainland. “I imagine that’s something very similar.
He was refering to the inability to receive and broadcast information as was the situation during hurricane Katrina. He wasn't saying they were equally catastrophic or anything of that nature. I think the blaze employs too many bloggers.

No. To even say Katrina in the first place is idiotic.

CNN is completely stupid on this cruise ship reporting. You'd have expected to see a bunch of thin sickly looking passengers getting off that ship but unfortunately for the liberal press, the passengers don't look any worse for wear. No fights broke out, no stabbings and riots. People helped each other, no violence broke out.

Reporters looking for anything to sensationalize a non story to get better ratings for their network. Too bad for them most of the passengers appeared happy, and praised the ships crew.

This is idiotic!

Beck acknowledged that it was a “bad situation” and “these people have a right to be pissed off.” He also encouraged listeners to be prepared for situations in which society could potentially break down.

So Glenn Beck is comparing this cruise to a situation in which society breaks down yet criticizes the reporter for comparing the break down of communication to that which happened during Katrina.

Yes! Nothing like spending four days in these conditions:

Quote:
Passengers described water-logged carpet, sewage seeping through the walls, overflowing toilets and a stench so bad people choked when they tried to endure it.
But by most accounts, the crew did as much as they could, using disinfectant and picking up plastic bags of feces after toilets stopped working.

Quote:
Passengers described a horrifying scene after the fire. Some said they smelled smoke and received conflicting instructions about every 15 minutes over the PA system. Others ran for lifeboats.

I don't see what being liberal has to do with this story at all. To me it comes down to "CNN is sensationalist." Wow, good job breaking that news. We had no idea.
