Government again abusing their power with a raid on a farm. They didn't present a warrant but did destroy much of the property in their zealous effort to find that evil marijuana plant. Finding none, they destroyed the tomato plants under the guise of thinking they were marijuana. Then they seized the compost and some wooden pallets. Brilliant!!!
The truth is that these idiots just don't like alternative lifestyles and love to abuse their power with a SWAT raid. And they have this power because the citizens just sit by and watch. Reminds me of Germany in the 1930s.
Can we start putting these people in jail??? (The Police, not American citizens). Maybe there's some veterans groups or army divisions that would like to protect this country and our Constitution from these thugs.
You would think that would be the end of it. But no. The SWAT team was followed by a bunch of code enforcement officers who took care of the real demon weeds: sunflowers, blackberry bushes and okra. WFAA reports:
Code enforcement teams also went to the home that day with an abatement warrant. They hauled nearly 21,000 pounds of materials, including 24 tires filled with stagnant water.
According to inventory documents, some of the items seized included compost, wooden pallets, and furniture. Smith said code officials took away their food, and everything they need for a sustainable lifestyle.
"There were 15 to 20 blackberry bushes. There were sunflowers for our bees and gifting. Lots of okra, and we had a sweet potato patch that they whacked down with a Weed-Eater," Smith said. "The weeds that we used to shade our crops are also gone."
The city says the farm has code enforcement violations they refused to fix. So, SWAT team!

Are zucchini and squash on the forbidden list cause I grew them this fall ?
The police in the US have WAY to much power, not enough oversight, and are allowed to act with impunity all too often. Alas, that's what the citizens seem to want in their ever-expanding fear of everything and everybody.

Much the same can be said about the DoD and the way it's been misused by various Presidents in the last 50 years.
You aren't going to change this with YouTube video's.
But you sure as hell can raise awareness.
What's with you trying to derail threads today that deal with criminal and/or out of control LEO?
I'm guessing Police can do no wrong in your world. Are you an officer by chance?
