That's an interesting attempt to deflect the facts albeit rather weak. A president does not act like this. A dictator does. Here's the way Obama sees the problem with his situation:
I keep hearing people say that America has become a fascist state. People still criticize the government, people can still call Obama and his family racist slurs, and people still protest. Not too bad for a dicatorship. I always thought it would be much worse.

I don't blame them, if you can make racist statements towards the dictator, insult him and his family, buy as many weapons as you can afford, and rant all day long about what a horrible country we live in, then I'd say a dicatorship isn't that oppressive.

Do you think every citizen who insulted Stalin or Hitler was dealt with? The state simply doesn't have the resources to do that. Only important people get targeted.
But ask yourself this, remember the youtube video of the guy ranting about Obama? Only for the SS to visit him the next day? Try to tell me we're a free country with a straight face.
