Here we go folks. A prime example of why our country faces the issues it does. Insanity.

All this crap adds up. If it were up to me, if its not essential, its cut. And calligraphy is not even on the radar of a necessity. You're a fool if you believe it is, a wasteful fool

Other examples of horrible White House waste:

China plates at state banquets - why not use paper?

Carpets - The floors are hardwood, aren't they?

White dress gloves on USMC sentries - Washington's climate is pretty warm, what the heck do those boys need gloves for?

Flags - Why do we need to pay for flags at the White House - anyone who goes there already knows what country they're in.

If you keep a Carrier in port because of money, Calligraphy has to go.

Best I can research, White House calligraphers go back to at least 1801.

For the obligatory nod at the Bush admin, the staff of three was not enough and additional seasonal calligraphers were hired.

I dont care who else had them. We dont need them, like we dont need to spend money on many many many other things. Cutting unnecessary spending has to start somewhere by someone. No better time than now.

Unnecessary positions, salaries, travel, agencies, programs, etc etc have to be cut or scaled back. We are on an unsustainable path and like it not, taxing our way out us not the friggin answer. Our government continues to waste at our and the countries expense. It has to to stop! The average family has to budget and cut back on what it can't afford. To not expect the government to do the same is retarded, irresponsible, and asking for the downfall of our nation.

What about the chefs/cooks? While the First Family pays for their own food and such, what's up with fancy smancy state din-dins? Why can't the white house order in twofer pizzas and call it a day?

Obama said he has to cut the pay of janitors. Yet no mention of cutting the pay or positions of a staff where many make six figures and some are not needed in the first place.

So much for change. So much for cutting our spending. He is just like the rest and even worse in some areas.

The King and Queen always live better than their subjects.

Michelle knows where the kitchen is. Get to work and send the kids out to pull weeds around the house.

When it is time for Barry's presidential portrait we ain't got no money for that. Here's a polariod. Thanks for playing "Sequestor".
