Senate Democrats, including Senate Budget Committee chairwoman Sen. Patty Murray, are hiding their budget from their Republican colleagues. Is this bipartisanship?

Lot of loop-hole closures and ending tax breaks, and a trillion in cuts.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...192839140.html

The plan is part of the budget blueprint for fiscal-year 2014 that Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D., Wash.) is expected to formally release on Wednesday.

Her plan would raise $975 billion in new revenue in the next decade by closing tax breaks that benefit upper-income households and corporations. Democrats plan to match the new taxes with $975 billion in spending reductions. They would lower spending on domestic programs by $493 billion, cut $240 billion from defense spending and count on $242 billion in savings from lower interest payments on the federal debt.

Democrats would lower domestic spending in part by saving $275 billion through changes to federal health-care programs that are smaller in scale than Republicans have proposed for Medicare and Medicaid.

Murray blaming Bush. Unbelievable these people. Cut 1.85 trillion in ten years? Thats 185 billion a year. That won't even pay the interest on the debt we already have. Wonder how many swooners will lap this up?? All of em I'm sure.

Democrats' Budget Mixes Tax Increases, Spending Cuts - WSJ.com

Seriously? We've been running north of 1 trillion in deficits every year for the last four years running and their plan involves cutting 975 billion over 10 years? And to get that we need to pay an equal amount in new taxes?

Even after getting the tax cuts to expire they want nearly 100 billion dollars more in taxes every year? We borrowed more last year alone than they plan to cut in the entire next decade?

These are the people you liberals think are great leaders for our nation?

No wonder there are so many people wanting to envoke their 2nd amendment right.
I can't really blame them.

Gotta start somewhere. You don't just let a business keep bleeding like that. You've gotta do something to balance out and start putting money back into the business.
