Let all the conservatives/TeaPartiers/Republicans play football without helmets or bang their heads whichever way they want - they really cant be worse off with any more damage to their heads..
While this is a completely stupid rule, how in God's name do Liberals fit in to this possible change? Good lord you people can turn anything into a Liberal vs. Conservative debate.
If liberals would refrain from destroying the republic, none of this would be neccesary.
I saw that. How will they enforce this? Running backs are taught to dive foreward to get extra yards thus your head goes first unless they can somehow spin around in midair and go feet first. I guess there will be no more dive plays on the goal line just have to run a sweep so as to get your shoulder between yourself and the defense. The speed those guys are going at there is no way to read intent into somebody lowering their head and running over a defender. That is why they wear helmets. It looks like helmets will be done away with in ten years or so.

They already have, it explains some of the stupidity expressed in threads like this.
It's gdam bad enough your team gets some cheesball flag tossed at em for touching the QB after he passes the ball. Now your gonna get 15 yards for diving for the end zone to score? Will the TD count and the penalty assessed on the kickoff? I don't see this rule flying.
